Starting her career in immigration as an Officer with the Department of Immigration and Multicultural Affairs, Maree has worked in a range of migration practices and was Director of Holt Durham Migration Services for 8 years before merging with Mapien in December 2019.
It’s this 26 years of experience, which has provided Maree with a sound strategic position to operate effectively in case work and in forming lasting networks with immigration stakeholders.
With a Spanish background herself, Maree combines efficiency with understanding, sensitivity and compassion when working with her clients.
She specialises in the preparation of temporary and permanent employer sponsored Visas, as well as all family Visas, review applications and Distinguished Talent Visas.
Maree has been a member of the Migration Institute of Australia (MIA) since 1999, has been inducted as a Fellow of the MIA, and was awarded the 2014 MIA Service Award for her contribution to the immigration advice profession. As a member of the MIA, Maree has conducted workshops and contributes to its mentoring program for newly registered agents, providing advice on complex migration matters.
Maree has also taught in the Australian National University (ANU) Graduate Certificate in the Immigration Law and Practice Program. A translator/interpreter in the Spanish and English languages, she continues to provide services in Spanish for Spanish speaking clients.
Maree has partnered with both corporate and individual clients, across a variety of industries. She has worked with some of Australia’s largest mining companies, hotel groups, major restaurant chains, car dealerships, aerospace companies and IT companies; as well as a comprehensive list of individual clients.
