The Global Talent Independent Stream
The Distinguished Talent visa is a permanent visa for eligible applicants who have an internationally recognised level of outstanding achievement in a sport, the arts, a profession or in academia and research.
Over the years our Migration team have assisted, amongst others, a pianist, a harpist, a saxophonist, an advertising guru, an opera singer, an actor, a mixologist, a novelist and a basketball player all under the Distinguished Talent Visa. We have also assisted an Emmy award winner who won the award for his work on the movie, Happy Feet.
We currently have applications before the Department of Home Affairs (DoHA) for a number of sports persons who have excelled at Olympic and Commonwealth games level.
With only 200 visas allocated under the Distinguished Talent program each year, the number of visas we have had approved over the years is an indication of our expertise in this area.
